Great news for business customers with Apple and Google smartphones! Automatic unlocking is here!
Starting June 19th, 2024, AT&T is streamlining the unlocking process for CRU (corporate responsibility customer) customers with Apple and Google smartphones. This means your eligible device will be automatically unlocked without needing to contact customer service!
What does this mean for you?
If you have an active AT&T iPhone or Google Pixel phone that meets the following criteria, it will be automatically unlocked in phases by August 30th, 2024:
Your device must be an active AT&T phone (Apple or Google).
Your device must be fully paid off.
Your device must have been active on the AT&T network for at least 60 days since purchase.
If you had an installment plan or contract, it must be completed, and 60 days must have passed since the end date.
Your account must be in good standing.
Important things to know:
Not all eligible devices will be unlocked immediately. The process will be completed in phases by August 30th.
This automatic unlocking process only applies to Apple and Google smartphones for now. Samsung devices will still require manual unlocking through the current process. (Automatic unlocking for Samsung devices is expected in 2025).
We will share this information with customers on an as-needed basis.
Still have questions?
While we expect this automatic process to reduce the need to contact customer service, you can always reach out to MobileWiseGuy or AT&T if you have any questions about your specific device or unlocking status.
In today’s fast-paced business environment, keeping your team connected and productive is crucial. Downtime due to unreliable Wi-Fi can disrupt workflows and impact client satisfaction. That’s where mobile hotspots come in—a powerful solution for seamless connectivity, no matter where your business takes you.
Here’s how mobile hotspots benefit your business:
Uninterrupted Productivity: Say goodbye to unreliable Wi-Fi frustration. Mobile hotspots provide high-speed, secure internet access at your office, client meetings, remote work locations, or even on the go. Your team can collaborate efficiently without internet disruptions.
Flexibility for Remote Work: Empower your team to work remotely with confidence. Mobile hotspots offer a secure and reliable connection, allowing employees to stay productive from anywhere with a cellular signal.
Reduced Reliance on Public Wi-Fi: Public Wi-Fi networks can be insecure and unreliable. Mobile hotspots provide a secure alternative, protecting your company’s sensitive data and ensuring private network access for online transactions and communication.
Cost-Effective Solution: No data usage against your existing plan! This eliminates unexpected charges and provides predictable budgeting for your business internet needs.
Simple Setup and Management: Mobile hotspots are user-friendly and easy to set up. Manage your connection and devices effortlessly, integrating seamlessly into your workflow.
Investing in reliable Wi-Fi is an investment in your team’s productivity and your business’s success. 💼📈
Keeping your business connected is crucial, but managing wireless bills can be a headache. Here are 5 ways to identify areas of savings and optimize your business wireless service:
1. Audit Your Current Plan:
Analyze Usage: Review your bills to see how much data, minutes, and texts your employees are actually using. Are you paying for features no one needs?
Identify Unused Lines: Do you have inactive lines or devices? Eliminate them to stop unnecessary charges.
Renegotiate with Your Carrier: Don’t be afraid to leverage your loyalty. Contact your carrier and see if they can offer a better deal based on your usage patterns.
2. Right-size Your Plans:
Match Plans to User Needs: Not everyone needs the same data allowance. Group employees by usage and assign plans accordingly. Shared data plans can be cost-effective for low-usage teams.
Consider Alternative Carriers: Research Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) that offer competitive rates on existing carrier networks.
3. Embrace BYOD (Bring Your Own Device):
Employee-Owned Devices: Allowing employees to use their own devices can save on equipment costs. However, implement policies to manage network security and data usage.
4. Monitor and Manage Proactively:
Implement Usage Alerts: Set data caps and alerts to avoid bill shock and encourage responsible data usage among employees.
Invest in Mobile Device Management (MDM): MDM software allows centralized control over devices, data usage, and security features, further optimizing costs.
